Love Without Reason

Love without Reason

Seems to me
There should be
A purpose for every season
You do this because I do that
For every action
There is always a reason

It’s so simple
It’s scientific
Because everything we do
Comes from something specific

But I have found myself
Scratching my head
Science is experiencing treason
Research has no conclusion
Because we love each other
Without a reason

This didn’t happen by accident
There is no big-bang theory
We didn’t develop a plan
We just love, love, love
Leaving footprints in the sand

No traces can be found
To lead us back to how it began
There are no blueprints
No rules, no procedures
Just us, hand in hand

We never asked questions
We just seized each day as they came
Because if we look and see what’s happening
We might find fear, sin, and shame

We aimlessly walk through the garden
Not knowing the days, times, or seasons
All we know is we have each other
And we love without reason

So, who’s to say what’s right or wrong
We love without expectations
Free to be
I see you, you see me
No one else needs to control our relation

There are no words to make
A clear-cut definition
You in me; I in you
Yes, that simple
Yes, that true

No mountain is too high
No valley is too low
No water is too deep
To stop our loves flow

We walk blindly
And we’re happy because WE see
Defying the critics opinions
Of you and me

We don’t care about the change in seasons
We don’t care of our scientific treason
All we care about is each other

As we love without reason
