Time to Rise

Time to Rise

You look
Without seeing
You hear
Without listening

You turn
A blind eye
With your third eye
Even though
You realize
The truth
In real lies

You claim
You despise it
But under the shadows
Of the front line
You sit in silence
The paradox is
You say "Let's put it behind us"

Yet in our presence
Lies the truth
And you sit there
Smug and aloof

You speak
Of you and me
Holding hands
In unity
Yet when I look around
I mostly see
People
Who look like me

You allow them
To misbehave
You doubt us when you're told
"They think we are still their slaves"
But the feelings
Never matter
Til it's your loved ones
Getting buried in their graves

Suddenly
It's a travesty
Because your life
Was hit by a tragedy

Treating us like animals
But when animals attack
You say
"Stop resisting!"
While defenseless
Bullet holes
Stream blood
From our backs

Maybe it's time
For the bird
To stop singing
From the cage

Maybe it's time
To pry back
The bars
And be released
In full rage

You say
"Violence is not the answer!"
Yet it's the only way to us
You speak
And we're supposed to
Peacefully march
As our blood
Floods the streets?

Tired
Of asking nicely
For equality
For scores of years
You smile in our face
Shake our hands
But our request keeps
Falling on deaf ears

Maybe it's time
Since you've held it long enough
Our empires need to rise
In your tenure
You've kidnapped, stolen, and killed
And created a racial divide

It's time to rise
With fists raised
Under a new flag to unite
Time to stop sitting in silent protests
Time for all of those trodden to fight

Time to rise
With one voice
Of the oppressed
With the blood of our ancestors
Marked on our chests!

Harvest Moon

Harvest Moon

Under the moonlight
I see
You
Resting upon me

Lifted
Together
Without
Gravity

Its light shines
Your skin glows
I rise in you
Deeper I go

Melted
Hearts mend
Past hurts
End

One with the earth
One with moon
You one with me
We no longer two

Harvest moon
On full display
Upon your breast
My head lays

As the cloud streaks
Through the skies
Look in your eyes
Body paralyzed

I see the moon peeking through
The clouds of your heart
Harvest moon rising
To an ending and a new start

Fresh beginning
My heart
Your winning

No longer will I doubt

Our oneness is real
No longer caged
We're free to love without

The fear of pain
Fear of hurt
Both no longer exist

A love so rare
Not often is there
A love on a moonlight harvest

Jungle Warfare

Jungle Warfare

Kidnapped
Sold
Removed in chains

Identity
Theft
Stripped my name

Ain't it
Odd
Forced to bow
To your God

Thrust
Into slavery
Yet
Had a life of royalty

Who told you
Your way was better
I was fine
The way I lived

I don't need
Your culure
In my history
We built pyramids

We've run
This world
Anytime
We're free

Your so-called
Handouts
Mean
Nothing to me

Fear
Of domination
Is why
You try to run

From
All the evil
Your
Ancestors have done

Thought
You could continue
To deceive me
With your smile

But my history
Came long before you
Back when
We swam the Nile

You think
We should be
Silent
Sit in the back seat

But no longer
Will I subscribe
To fearing
Your hooded sheets

There's lies
Beneath your grin
Cause you detest
My intrepid skin

Traded your sheets for badges
Got you some house niggas too
Don't think you can still deter me
By calling me monkeys and coons

I don't have time
For excuses and lies
I stand tall with black fists raised
Staring you in the eyes

Strong black man
Stronger than those chains
You forget that I'm a King
I will always reign!

We - Oneness

WE - ONENESS

The pearl
in my oyster
The garnet
in my stone

The merging
to my skin
Can't tell where she starts
and I begin

Oneness
I am her
She is me
Us are we

Walking on two
Strong as four
Saturated within her
As I explore

She implores
A moaning
So passionately
Groaning

Fingers interlocking
Legs intertwined
Beads of sweat
From our chests combined

Tastes
Her tongue as we kiss
Lost
In her eyes abyss... Oneness

Her glistening body
Gives strength to my soul
Her voice
Resonates stories untold

She kisses my back
The scarred remnants from past harm
Caresses
The strength of my arms

My sword swollen
In her sheath
As I lie
Beneath

Rotation
Of hips
As we feel
her drips

Laying back
In my hands
Her body at rest
But her nails dig deeply
Into my chest

The flow
Of her hair
Massaging
My Skin

We
Deepen in Oneness
As we both
Come within

Mirrors

Mirrors

The reflection
You see
Is
Me

Every
Part
Is where
It's meant
To be

I am
The only
Me
There will
Ever be

So
How
Can
There be
Wrong
In what
I see

Hair
Lips
Eyes
Ears
Nose
Chin
Beauty
In my
Skin

Chest
Stomach
Butt
Hips
Thighs
Even
My special place
Nothing
About me
Needs
To be
Replaced

Calves
Feet
Iddy
Biddy
Toes
Every single
Part
Is where
It's suppose
To go

I am
Special
Especially
Me
Within

I
See
No
Faults
Within
My
Skin

Arms
Elbows
Fingers
Hands
The smile
On my
Face
Is because
I
Can

Every
Freckle
Every
Line
Every
Contour
And
Curve

Beautiful
Is
The
Term
I
Deserve

The
Reflection
Of
Me
Is
Beautiful
To
See
Because
I am
Uniquely
Me

There
Is
Nothing
Wrong
With
Me

I
Love
The
Reflection
I
See

True desire from one's heart

I see beyond the mask
Behind the veil
Beyond your faults
Beyond your impurities
I see into your soul
I see your nakedness
Deeper than a superficial "I love you"
The depth of your eyes
The bond closer than interlocking fingers
It's a stroke of my hand down your face
Simulation of the mask removed as we sensually kiss
It's the stare deep in each others eyes
As you're wrapped around me inside of you
The dance in the rain in my arms
You get me
I get you
Intrinsically
It's full transparency
Without fear

Home

Home

Her love blankets me to keep me warm
The sweet scent of her essence ventilates the atmosphere of every room
I rise to the sensual warm taste of her morning brew
I feed her the fruit of my vine descending into her chambers
Her shine is bright through glass
Her legs made of bronze wrap me
Her flowing hair is the tapestry framing the windows
Her cystine eyes are the windows to her soul
She sees me
I am showered every morning by her wetness lathering the contours of my body
Her lips are butterfly wings gently grazing me
Her tongue as palm leaves caressing me tasting me
Her breasts cushion me as I rest upon her
Every exhale cools the air
Her smile borders the walls
Her rose pedals are the foundation of my feet throughout
Her skin tastes of fine wine quenching my thirst for her
My mind is sharpened deep within her sheath
In her absence she is present
Her soul is the engine that drives me
Her passion gives me purpose
I can't wait to come through her doors after a long day
Her hands lambs wool
Her golden eyes are the rarest gems like a sapphire stone
Jasper to onyx smooth skin like silk linen
The moonlight glistens it's reflection upon her
Her contours are the hour glass of the sands of time
My eyes close as I rest in the depths of her Eden
