I woke up the next morning
I thought
I could never see

Blinded by
My misery
I could not see
What was meant to be

Past decisions
Brought the cloud's rain
Glimpses of sunrise
Melted away the pain

So, I sat on the porch that morning
Let my ears hear the birds
Leaves singing in the wind
They harmonize a song I've never heard

To the morning harmony
Close enough to hear
Yet unable to be seen

To the morning dew
Saturating all of my pastures
Drying up as the light shines through

Brought clouds rain
Glimpses of sunshine

So, I went by the beach that evening
Let my feet play in the sand
Skipped a few rocks
In the waves I dipped my hands

Coming strong to the shore
Then rolling quickly away

Shining bright on the water
Then disappears in the horizon
