Love Scenes

Love Scenes

The seagulls are talking loud and flying
Soaring in the sky
The western star is twinkling
Way up high

The sounds of the waves in the distance
As they roll against the shore
Fish dancing in the water
The raccoon crossing the road to shop in his convenient store

The sun is setting
Creating a golden pathway on the lake
The crescent moon makes the sky smile
As the sunset’s colors begin to fade

The wind gently blowing
Causing the trees to swing and sway

Skipping stones in the water
As the boats sail slowly away
Branded on the mind
Painted on the heart
Walking through the woods
Carving our love on the tree bark

So many things to see
All of the signs of “meant to be”
Like two birds flying in the sky
And two ducks floating on the sea

My arms wrapped around you from behind
Holding you oh so near
You lean back and kiss me intensely
As we stand by the ships at the pier

Holding hands as we walk
On the path in the park
Kissing and hugging watching fireflies
As the dusk turns to dark

Now the house lights start to dim
We’re under the spotlight
Nothing else exists
But this moment with you tonight

Lights, camera, action!
All eyes on us on the stage
“Tale as old as time… Beauty and the Beast”
Doing a waltz ‘til an old age

“If you’re a bird,
I’m a bird”
Whispering sweet things
You’ve never heard

In these “Days of Our Lives”
My heart is all I have to give
We’ve been “Young and Restless”
But, we only have “One Life to Live”

There will be those that hate
Doubting that we can
But, “Frankly my dear,
I don’t give a damn!”

Because there’s one thing i’ve learned
The haters are like the seas’ sands
But you dominate my mind
And “Make me wanna be a better man!”

So “Kiss me,
Kiss me as if it’s the last time”
Make love to me
To declare you are all min

“A heart can be broken
But it always beats the same”
“You are what I never knew I always wanted”
So, make love to me intensely calling out my name

Simple love scenes
Like the ones in the rain
Running towards each in slow motion
Riding into the sunset of the Great Plains

The romance heroes
Always seem to know
Exactly what we want
How to steal the show

So the leading characters bring a climax
Before they bow and let you go

By saying “You complete me!”
And, “You had me at hello!”
